HOW IT WORKS
When someone lands on your website, Bing allows you to drop a remarketing cookie on that user. This allows you to deliver ads to them later as they browse other sites within Bing’s advertising network. These ads are typically banner-style with minimal text — perfect for brand building, recognition, and passive repetitive marketing.
ADVERTISING & MEDIA BUY
Once the cookie is dropped, every time that person sees your ad on another site, it's free — you only pay when they click to come back. And if they do in fact return for a second, third, or fourth visit, etc…their buyer intent is considered to be very strong and within a peak conversion opportunity period. That’s why we recommend clients invest as heavily as possible in this program
TRACKING & MEASUREMENT
The cookie used in remarketing has an expiration date, so it’s important to present ads as often as possible while that window is open. You should track not only when a user was remarketed and when they returned, but also what ad they came from and how that turned into ROI. Because remarketing often has a longer sales cycle, proper measurement is essential.
